the best thing to happen to canadian t.v. since the beachcombers

well for all you kevin smith fans here in the great (freaking cold) white north be sure to check out his 3 ep stint on degrassi the next generation. i still haven't figured out where his strange love of degrassi comes from, but as one who grew up on it (and other canadian cinematic gems) i found his occasional references to it in his films highly amusing. apparently the premise of the eps involves the faux filming of "jay and silent bob go canadian eh?" has sparked rumor of the film actually coming to fruition, so we may yet see the duo in mountie uniforms. that is if disney would agree to it....
